Auditions will be held by appointment on Sunday, September 10th from 12:00 PM – 4:00PM. Rehearsals will begin the week of September 18. The show runs November 3 – 18. The show will be directed by Daniel Hunsicker, music directed by Ryan Bergeron, and choreographed by Kayla Arrington. Performers of all ages and ethnicities are invited to audition.
All roles available. No Equity contracts available for this production. Performers who auditioned for a previous production that has been canceled (Bye Bye Birdie) are in consideration for roles in this production. It is not necessary for these individuals to audition again.

Auditioners are asked to prepare a selection of music approximately one-minute in length in the style of the show. Selections from the show are acceptable. Auditioners may bring a second musical selection contrasting the first piece if they like. Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Selections from the show are acceptable. There may also be some cold readings of selected script passages. Please bring a list of conflicts from September 18 – November 18.

Show Synopsis:
Set in a 1930s European perfumery, we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who, more often than not, don’t see eye to eye. After both respond to a “lonely hearts advertisement” in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters that they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Join Amalia and Georg to discover the identity of their true loves… and all the twists and turns along the way!

Arpad Laszlo
Delivery boy at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. His exuberance is infectious and commitment to his job remarkable. He is ambitious and adorable.

Not the brightest employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.

Employed at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. She is sexy and learned in the ways of romance, but longing for something more from the game of love.

A well respected and liked employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Though he is considered dapper and occasionally charming, he is more of a shallow womanizer.

Owner of Maraczek’s Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife.

The eager new employee at Maraczek’s Parfumerie. Despite being a skilled saleswoman, she easily becomes intimidated and nervous. Attractive, bright, and a lover of literature.

Waiter
A staunch waiter at the Cafe Imperiale who is trying desperately to preserve the romantic atmosphere of the establishment.The role is featured in the song A Romantic Atmosphere. Actor will play other roles in the Ensemble.
Mr. Keller
A Private investigator looking into the lives of the Parfumerie clerks and Mr. Maraczek’s wife. Non singing role. Actor will play other roles in the Ensemble.
