A Little Night Music

With music and lyrics by the incomparable Stephen Sondheim, A Little Night Music is a sophisticated, romantic, and razor-sharp exploration of love, longing, and second chances. The story centers on glamorous actress Desirée Armfeldt, whose reunion with former lover Fredrik Egerman sets off a deliciously tangled chain of affairs, jealousies, and revelations among spouses, lovers, and rivals. When the entire group convenes for a weekend in the country at Desirée’s mother’s estate, emotions run high, secrets emerge, and sparks fly - opening the door to new romances and rekindled love. Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s Smiles of a Summer Night, this beloved musical features one of Sondheim’s most iconic songs, “Send in the Clowns.”

About Our Coffeehouse

As the Spotlights’ annual coffeehouse production, the evening features a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic). The coffee house setting also offers luscious desserts for purchase during intermission (cash only, please).

Table seating is assigned in order of purchase. The Spotlights' 2019 Expansion is transformed into a coffeehouse-style venue with table seating on three levels.  Seating requests may be entered on the order form (i.e.  "Please sit us at a table with the Smiths," "We prefer House Left," or "We need to be on the ground level.")  We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
