February 22 - March 9 Our Signature Annual Coffeehouse Production After the Beep Seven One Act Plays by Seth Kramer Directed by Chris Bizub & Shane Stahl Seven plays for the price of one! With peculiar answering machine messages, revised-for-Hollywood American history, a humorous marriage proposal over a bowl of pasta, and a spoof on the films of Quentin Tarantino, this evening of theater is sure to have something for everyone’s tastes. Enjoy gourmet coffee and rich desserts during our signature coffeehouse intermission. April 20 - May 5 Pilots of the Purple Twilight by Steve Kluger Directed by Brian Westerley The entire action of this play takes place in the first-class smoking lounge of the R.M.S. Titanic, 350 miles southeast of Newfoundland, on that fateful evening of April 14, 1912. This historically accurate comedy of manners finds nine people who have absolutely no business knowing one another, yet crossing paths during the two hours between “Iceberg, dead ahead!” and the captain’s command for all passengers to put on life jackets. June 20 - 30 Annual Youth Production Once on This Island by Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty Directed by Tim Anderson & Maggie Majercik This highly original and theatrical adaptation of the popular fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, is almost non-stop song and dance. The show tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. When Daniel is returned to his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred, and death. September 13 - 28 Baby by Sybille Pearson, David Shire, & Richard Maltby, Jr. Directed by Ryan Bergeron Is there anything more exciting, frightening and utterly transformational than impending parenthood? Baby tells the story of three couples on a university campus as they deal with the painful, rewarding, and agonizingly funny consequences of this universal experience. There are the college students, barely at the beginning of their adult lives; the thirty-somethings, having trouble conceiving but determined to try; and the middle-aged parents, looking forward to seeing their last child graduate from college when a night of unexpected passion lands them back where they started. November 8 - 23 A Family-Friendly Musical The Adventures of Mr. Toad by Piers Chater-Robinson Based on The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame Directed by Tim Anderson Music Directed by Ryan Bergeron Bring your whole family to see the story of Mr. Toad and his animal friends who live a wonderful life in Toad Hall. Mr. Toad has a passion for speed, driving, and mischief! His slower-paced friends Mole, Rat, and Badger are constantly trying to keep him out of mischief. Finally, after stealing a car, Mr. Toad is thrown into jail. In his absence, the evil weasels take over Toad Hall. Now it is up to Mr. Toad to escape from jail and save the day! |
