A charming one-man show featuring a gold mine of Broadway musical
theatre songs and anecdotes, and
just enough gay to keep it light and fun.
Inspired by comedic author and essayist David Sedaris and Broadway legend
Bea Arthur, “Just Between Friends”blends stories & jokes with just enough
show tune sweetness to set the stage for an old fashioned gab-fest…just
between friends!

A native Clevelander who boasts a theatre career spanning more than 30
years, Jim Jarrell has performed on community and professional theatre
stages locally, in New York City, and in various locations throughout the
country.

Some of Jim’s professional theatre credits include regional and NYC
productions of “Cabaret,” “H.M.S. Pinnafore,” “West Side Story,” “Children of
Eden,” and “My Fair Lady” as well as local productions of “A Chorus Line” (at
the Beck Center in 1999), “Fiddler on the Roof” (with Cleveland Opera
Company in 1993) and as recently as 2011 in Lakeland Theatre’s “Assassins,”
FPAC ’s “Company,” Cleveland Public Theatre’s “Patterns,” and Convergence
Continuum’s “Boys In The Band.”

He has also directed several productions locally, including “Pajama Game” and
“State Fair” (for Mighty Goliath Productions), “The Drowsy Chaperone” and
“Annie Get Your Gun” (for the Garfield Players), and “Vintage Hitchcock: A
Live Radio Play” right here at Broadview Heights Spotlights.  Later this year,
he will be directing “Oklahoma” for the Cassidy Theatre in Parma Heights.

When he is not busy showcasing his talents on stage or in the “director’s
chair,” Jim is a legal marketing and business development executive for the law
firm of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A.

He would like to thank his friends and family for their ongoing love and
support, and is especially grateful to YOU for continuing to support LIVE
THEATRE in Cleveland!
About Jim Jarrel
About Kandice Kraus
Recently moved back to the Cleveland area, Candice Kraus is thrilled to be
playing in “Just Between Friends”. Trained as a classical singer and pianist,
she holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Baldwin-Wallace College
(ahem, University), where she also studied piano, harp, and, well, pretty much
everything else during her many years there.

Candice has led an active life both in the Cleveland area and in NYC as an
accompanist, music director and performer. Recent music directing credits
include productions of "Barnum" and "Nine". She is currently working as
composer and collaborator for two new productions being written, as well as
music directing “Oklahoma!” for the Cassidy Theatre in Parma Heights later in
2013.

Candice currently holds a cantor position at Holy Family Catholic Church in
Parma and also works throughout the diocese as a substitute organist and
cantor. When not working with music, one can generally find Candice sharing
her obsession with tea at Teavana, preparing for some sort of race (she
completed her first marathon in 2012), or roller skating (she’s a roller derby
gal).
